Narrative Script/Treatment

Home Sweet Home

Genre: Horror/fear

Black screen, sound of alarm clock going off

Quick shot of hand hitting alarm clock to turn it off

Voice over while the hand leaves frame, music starts, entry credits start.

Scene 1

-Sister wakes up

-Goes to kitchen

-Gets water and sees note from mom (out for the weekend)

-Brother comes downstairs and spooks her

-She gets frustrated, pushes him, and walks up stairs to start unpacking

Scene 2

-Starts unpacking box

-Hears noise from across the room

-Goes to check it out

-Gets scratch on side/stomach

-Brother comes up to room, sister quickly covers the cut

-Brother asks what she’s doing, sister says nothing, they go and start unpacking again

-Brother makes small talk, sister is uninterested, obviously has some type of negative emotions going on inside her

-Brother asks why she’s acting funny, sister says nothing, leaves.

Scene 3

-Cuts to nighttime

-Sister is getting ready for bed

-As she climbs into the bed she notices bruising all over legs

-She goes into bed and half falls asleep when she hears noises from her room

-She gets spooked and gets out of bed to see what it is

-She sees a shadow and starts yelling at it to leave before she calls the police or gets her brother, the shadow doesn’t move or do anything

-She is terrified and frozen in fear

-Deep laughter, demonic sounds comes from the shadow

-It moves towards her and reaches arm out and touches her chest

-She gasps and falls to the floor/passes out

-Split second of black screen

Scene 4

-Cuts to sister waking up unfazed and getting off ground, obviously possessed now

-Zoom into face to reveal sinister smile

-Walks out of room and down the hall to brother room

-Stands by bed and just stairs at brother

-Brother wakes up and gets freaked out by sister just standing there

-Brother asks why she’s in his room, sister wont reply

-Brother keeps asking if she’s okay, she wont reply

-Brother notices her sickly pale face and veins popping from her skin, and asks what’s wrong, terrified.

-Sister grabs him by shoulders or feet and pulls him out of bed

-Drags brother down the stairs, brother is freaking out and yelling at her

-She drags him all the way to the backyard and strangles him to death

-Demon comes out of her body after that, she falls to the ground and dies as well, as the demon returns to the house
